How to play

Read the category, then tap letters or type them on your keyboard. Right letters fill in every spot they appear. Each wrong letter frays the rope, and after six wrong letters the climber falls. Fill in the whole phrase to win.

Frequently asked questions

How is Word Hang scored?

A solve scores 100, less 10 for each wrong letter, and never less than 40. If the rope snaps you still score up to 30 for the letters you found. Everyone gets the same phrase each day, and faster solves earn a small coin bonus.

Is Word Hang free to play?

Yes. Word Hang is free in any modern browser, with no download and no account needed. An optional account keeps your progress across devices.

When is there a new Word Hang puzzle?

A new daily challenge starts at midnight UTC and everyone gets the same one. Practice mode has extra rounds whenever you want more.
