A daily piece-placing puzzle. Every square shows a star, flame or drop, and each piece you place turns the squares under it one step along the cycle. Place all six pieces, in order, so the whole board ends on stars.

How to play

Glyphs cycle star → flame → drop → star. Each piece turns every square it covers one step along that cycle. Place the pieces in the order shown; tap a square to preview where the piece lands and tap again to place it (mouse clicks place at once). Undo and Restart are free. When all six pieces are down, every square must be a star.

Frequently asked questions

Is every board solvable?

Each daily board is built backwards from a hidden solution, so it can always be solved. A clean solve scores 100; each hint places the next piece of the solution and costs 15 points, down to 25. Faster solves earn a small coin bonus.

Is Glyph Shift free to play?

Yes. Glyph Shift is free in any modern browser, with no download and no account needed. An optional account keeps your progress across devices.

When is there a new Glyph Shift puzzle?

A new daily challenge starts at midnight UTC and everyone gets the same one. Practice mode has extra rounds whenever you want more.
