How to play

Pick an empty cell, then tap a number. Every row, column and 3×3 box must contain 1 to 9 once. Turn on Notes to pencil in candidates. A wrong number is marked red and counts as a mistake, and so does a hint.

How is my sudoku scored?

A clean solve scores 100. Each mistake or hint costs 10 points, down to 40, so you always finish with a score. Every daily puzzle is generated with exactly one solution, and faster solves earn a small coin bonus.

Is Sudoku free to play?

Yes. Sudoku is free in any modern browser, with no download and no account needed. An optional account keeps your progress across devices.

When is there a new Sudoku puzzle?

A new daily challenge starts at midnight UTC and everyone gets the same one. Practice mode has extra rounds whenever you want more.
